Public Works Committee

Purpose: Focuses on the city’s transportation systems and mobility, infrastructure and public utilities, environmental stewardship and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities: Manages issues and reviews maintenance and improvement related to roads, utilities, bridges, parks, playgrounds, public buildings, monuments, green spaces and leisure facilities. Manages issues related to parking, public transit, traffic flow, pedestrian pathways, trails, cycling infrastructure, signs and signals. Manages issues related to initiatives that reduce the city’s pollution and illegal dumping, manage recycling and waste programs, and protect natural resources.

Held when necessary, and the passed resolution, ordinance will be passed to council as whole the following council meeting for final vote.
