CWA customers are advised that the recent advisory put out by the Philadelphia Water Department to utilize bottled water is a result of the chemical spill into a tributary of the Delaware River does not impact CWA customers. The source of CWA water supply is from the Octoraro reservoir located in Chester/Lancaster County on the Susquehanna River not the Delaware River so this chemical spill has no impact on CWA. Customers should feel confident that their drinking water continues to be a high quality and meets or exceeds all federal and state regulations if you would like further information about the Philadelphia water department in this matter please visit their website at https://water.phila.gov
