Citywide Clean-Up Caravan to Take Place Every Tuesday & Thursday in March
Chester City officials and personnel from every city department, including police and fire officials, will participate in a community clean-up initiative spearheaded by the Department of Streets, Highways and Public Improvements.
(CHESTER, PA) – Chester City Council is pleased to announce the dates for its 2021 Citywide Clean-up Caravan. This year the community-cleaning event will begin on March 9 and take place every Tuesday and Thursday through the end of the month.
Similar to previous years, the clean-up will be a collaboration between every city department, including the Chester Police Department and Bureau of Fire.
City officials and personnel will target clean-up efforts in areas identified by the Department of Streets, Highways and Public Improvements. Residents are encouraged to volunteer and join the clean-up caravan.
All volunteers are asked to dress comfortably, wear sneakers and be prepared to get dirty—for a good cause.
WHO: The city of Chester
WHAT: will hold its 2021 Citywide Clean-Up Caravan event
WHEN: Every Tuesday and Thursday during March from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. (First clean-up starts on March 9)
MEETING LOCATION: The caravan will meet at Chester City Hall at 10 a.m. The Department of Streets, Highways and Public Improvements will choose each day’s clean-up location.
