Ms. Edith Blackwell

City Controller

Edith M. Blackwell was educated in the Chester Upland School District. She went on to continue her education at Widener and Cheyney Universities and Harcum College.

Ms. Blackwell was employed by Laborers Local Union 413 for 30 years as a union laborer. She was also a Shop Steward. (Liaison between union/worker and employers) She was a loyal and dedicated union member.

Ms. Blackwell is a member of Life in Christ Cathedral of Faith. She is presently a minister over the Evangelism Ministry. She is a board member of Hannahs House of Hope which serves the area, by conducting community out reaches to at risk women.
