City of Chester to Swear In New Fire Apprentices, Will Promote Police Officer during August 11 Council Meeting
(CHESTER, PA) – The city of Chester will swear in 10 new fire apprentices, and promote a police officer to the position of Sergeant during Council Meeting on Wednesday, August 11 at 10:30 a.m.
The group of fire apprentices recently graduated from the Wilmington Fire Academy. They were among 40 cadets who completed an intense 14-week training.
The official swearing-in ceremony and police officer’s promotion will take place immediately following the city’s official business, as outlined in the meeting agenda.
All Deliberative and Council Meetings are now open to the public. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, there will be a limit of 25 persons per meeting. Anyone that attends the meeting will be required to wear a mask, regardless of vaccination status.
Members of the media are permitted to attend.
