City of Chester to Live Stream Public Meetings on Facebook for Month of May

As nationwide mitigation efforts to stop the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) are still ongoing, Chester City Hall will remain closed to the public. All public meetings will be live streamed on the city’s Facebook page.

 

(CHESTER, PA) – Chester City Hall will be closed to the public for the month of May.  All public meetings will be live streamed on the city’s Facebook Page. 

 

The city of Chester is scheduled to hold several public meetings during May, including Deliberative and Council Meetings, Board of Revision of Taxes and an Aggregated Pension Board Meeting.  The two scheduled Deliberative Meeting dates have changed and will now take place on the same day that corresponds with the bi-weekly Council Meetings.

 

Meeting times/changes are listed below:  

Wednesday – May 13, 2020:

Deliberative Meeting (10am)

Council Meeting (approximately 10:30am)

 

Wednesday – May 27, 2020:

Deliberative Meeting (10am)

Council Meeting (approximately 10:30am)

 

Wednesday – May 27, 2020:

Board of Revision of Taxes (approximately 11:00am, IMMEDIATELY following Council Meeting)

 

Wednesday – May 27, 2020:

Aggregated Pension Board Meeting (approximately 11:30am, IMMEDIATELY following Board of Revision of Taxes)

 

The Deliberative/Council Meetings’ agendas for May 13 will be posted to the City’s website and Facebook page on Tuesday, May 12. The Deliberative/Council Meetings’ agendas for May 27 will be posted to the City’s website and Facebook page on Tuesday, May 26.

 

Residents or taxpayers of the city of Chester who wish to provide a public comment for the May 13 meetings can submit their comment via email starting Thursday, May 7 until 9:45am on Wednesday, May 13. 

 

Residents or taxpayers who wish to provide a public comment for the May 27 meetings can submit their comment via email starting Thursday, May 21 until 9:45am on Wednesday, May 27.

 

Any person submitting a public comment must include the same information that is requested at a public meeting.  This information includes a person’s name and address.

Any resident or taxpayer that does not have access to email can call in their public comment.  Public comments made via phone will be accepted at the start of the Council Meeting on May 13 and May 27, (approximately 10:30am) until the meetings are adjourned. Persons calling in their comment must provide their full name and address.

All public comments will be read into record during the meetings.  Chester City Councilmembers will offer a response to these comments, if warranted.

 

If a public comment is received without the requested information or if the comment is deemed inappropriate, it will not be read into record or accepted as an official submission.
