Chester Residents to Get Their Covid-19 Questions Answered
Chester Board of Health partners to host a webinar series on COVID-19.
(CHESTER, PA) – The residents of Chester City have a unique opportunity to participate in a three-part COVID-19 webinar series. The webinars will feature highly respected health-care professionals from the area who will answer pressing questions around the most discussed global topic — COVID-19. Each webinar has a theme: 1. The Virus; 2. Mental Health; and 3. The Vaccine.
The first webinar will be held on Monday, February 22, at 7 PM. The Mental Health and Vaccine webinars will take place on Monday, March 8, at 7 PM and Monday, March 22, at 7 PM, respectively. Chester residents can submit questions in advance and ask questions during the live event.
Jointly organized by the Chester Board of Health, Chester Bureau of Health and the J. Lewis Crozer Library, the event promises to be highly informative. Deborah Jackson, Chair of the Chester Board of Health, expressed the importance of sharing the latest information about the virus. “Knowledge is power! The Chester Board of Health wants to make sure the community is using sage life strategies to prevent the spread of COVID-19,” says Jackson.
Corroborating Jackson’s view on why such an event is essential at this time, Dr. Susan Waller, Head of Programming at the J. Lewis Crozer Library, said this partnership is important because “the webinars provide an opportunity for citizens of Chester to receive answers to their important questions about COVID-19 from trusted health-care professionals.”
Keystone First is sponsoring Monday’s webinar. According to Meg Grant, Director of Public Affairs and Marketing, “We’re excited to be part of bringing people together and talking about this important topic to improve the health of the Chester community.”
These webinars hold the promise of improving health and minimizing the devastation that COVID-19 has brought to so many communities of color. Webinar details, speaker information, and registration can be found at www.chestercity.com/covidwebinars. Residents without internet access can contact the J. Lewis Crozer Library to obtain information to join the webinars by phone.
