Cambodian Ambassador to United States & Mexico Set to Visit City of Chester
(CHESTER, PA) – On Wednesday, July 26, 2017 Chum Bunrong, Cambodian Ambassador to the United States and Mexico will visit the City of Chester.
Bunrong, along with key officials from the Ambassador’s Economic Development staff will meet with Mayor Thaddeus Kirkland, Chester City Councilmembers and other key city, county and state officials. The Ambassador and his Economic Development staff will also meet with a number of top business and educational leaders from Chester, including representatives from Widener University, SIG Combibloc Inc., and Harrah’s Casino and Raceway.
A series of agenda items are scheduled for the visit that will focus on the creation of a “sister city” initiative and an economic development project in the City of Chester.
Once the economic development meetings have concluded, members of the Chester Economic Development Authority (CEDA) will hold a welcome reception for Bunrong and his staff at the Wharf Building along the Delaware Riverfront in Chester.
This visit will mark the first time that a Cambodian Ambassador has come to the City of Chester on official business.
