Willie M. Wells - Director of Accounts & Finance Willie M. Wells is currently the director of Accounts and Finance, a position she had held for the past six years. She is in her second full term as Councilwoman. Before being elected to City Council in 1997, she held the position of City Controller from 1993-1996 and Executive Director of the Chester Redevelopment Authority from 1989-1993. Ms. Wells has been a dedicated public servant since 1964, holding various positions and receiving numerous promotions throughout the years. In addition to her professional duties, she demonstrates her commitment to the residents of Chester by sitting on the boards of various community organizations. Ms. Wells serves as Treasure on the board of the J. Lewis Crozer Library and Chairperson of ChesPenn Health Services. She is a member of the Delaware County Women's Commission and the Chester Council of Republican women. Ms. Wells is former board member of Community Action Agency of Delaware County. Ms. Wells is a graduate of Chester high School and she attended William Penn Business Institute. Ms. Wells is also an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where she serves as secretary of the Scholarship Ministry. |
