Seeking reliable and responsible adults to fill Crossing Guard positions for various locations throughout the City of Chester. Pay starts at $9.07/hour. Applicants must be able to stand for 45-90 minutes at a time and possess a reliable means of transportation.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and are required to pass an FBI Fingerprint Clearance and Child Abuse Clearance.

CAADC Seeking Employment Partners for Youth Building Trades Program


Media – Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc. (CAADC) is seeking local employment partners for its youth Building Trades Training Program.   The Building Trades Training Program provides instruction in the construction and maintenance fields and includes paid on-the-job training.  The program is designed to help out-of-school economically disadvantaged youth to gain the skills for a rewarding career and includes obtaining industry recognized certifications.

An important component of the project is providing youth with a paid work experience opportunity, funded by the project.  However, CAADC is still seeking employers from Delaware County in the building trades and maintenance fields to partner with for this project.  Benefits to the employers include:

  • Having an employee for 6 months paid for by the project
  • Chance to help and mentor an economically disadvantaged youth looking to start a career
  • Opportunity to secure a great future permanent employee
