Chester Police Chaplain Corps
Composed of an experienced, well-rounded team of spiritual leaders, the Chester Chaplains work to strike a balance between serving the needs of the City and the community at large. Under the direction of the Police, the Chester Police Chaplain Corps provides spiritual counsel and support to the Police Department and Chester residents. Serving as part of a department's Crisis Response Team, the Chaplains receive first hand information about incidents and crimes as they occur in the City and counsel law enforcement officers and their families along with other department personnel.
The Chaplains also visit the sick or injured officers and department personnel in homes and hospitals, as well as make death notifications. Providing assistance to victims, assisting at suicide incidents, and serving as liaison with other clergy in the community are also a part of the Chester Police Chaplain Corps core duties.
