The City has been working for some time with the Boys and Girls Club of Chester to establish a new location for their recreational programs that will not require young children to cross the five lanes of traffic on the increasingly busy Route 291. The new facility will be located at 7th and Madion Streets on a parcel previously assembled by the city for this purpose. The new facility will feature a computer lab, classroom and tutorial space, basketball courts, general recreation/activities area, and other amenities. Construction of the $4 million dollar project will begin once the final design of the center is completed.
