City of Chester Career Fair

More than 550 job seekers came out for the City's Career Fair on Wednesday, April 15, 2009, with more than 300 people in attendance within the first hour. The fair attracted job seekers from around the region, with more than half from the City of Chester. This is the second Career Fair the City has held within the past year, with 350 people attending last year's fair in April 2008.

Hundreds of job seekers came out to the City's Career Fair on April 15th.

Held in the community room at City Hall from 2:00 to 7:00 pm, the City's Career Fair was free and open to the public. Job seekers were able to meet face-to-face with over 30 companies and apply for hundreds of positions. The employers were seeking professionals from a wide-range of fields, including healthcare, hospitality, education, human services, and more.

The City plans to hold another Career Fair in spring 2010.

Chester residents who were not able to attend the fair and those who need assistance in finding a job can contact Robert Wrease, Jr., Workforce Coordinator at 610-447-1424.
